Alan joined Contract Scotland in 2006 and has played a key part in the organisation’s notable growth during that time. Now one of the main leaders in the business, he has responsibility within a wide range of areas. From the day the business was established in 1990, they’ve focused on ‘redefining’ how recruitment is approached and have coupled this with particularly strong ethics that define who they are and how they interact with everyone they engage with. Having supported the s1jobs Recruitment Awards for several years, Alan is proud to join the judging panel to celebrate the best in our industry.

Scott is a member of the B+C UK Executive Leadership Team and has strategic responsibility for the Scottish operations which include B+C Professional (middle management and future leaders business) and B+C Executive (Executive Search and Leadership and Advisory Services Practice). Scott has UK-wide responsibility for the Executive Search offerings into the public, not-for profit and international NGO sectors. In Scotland, Scott also lead all commercial and private sector offerings for B+C. B+C is the professional and executive recruitment arm of the Adecco Group, a Fortune 500 business.

Callum Macinnes



Callum MacInnes has operated in a range of Human Resource roles across a variety of sectors. He manages a team of HR professionals for sportscotland, the national agency of sport for Scotland. Callum holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. Callum has won a number of awards throughout his career in HR, and was a key member of the team who collected the Chairman’s Award here at S1. Callum was also a guest speaker at the CIPD conference, and values the importance of a strong HR network to share best practice and drive innovation within HR.

Steve cut his advertising and marketing teeth in four big agencies before Calgary and has seen technology develop from hot metal and print to digital and iPhones, and been at the front end of that transformation. As a student of behaviour and what creates it, Steve has a core belief in the power of brand to inspire people. Jacqueline Hepburn was seconded to Abellio Holdings UK in July 2019 to undertake a new role as UK Head of Organisation Development. Prior to this she was interim Human Resources Director at ScotRail. Jacqueline has more than 20 years’ experience leading HR and learning and development teams across the UK and Europe. Prior to joining ScotRail Jacqueline has worked across the private, public and third sectors. She was a Director at Flybe, UK Director for the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils, and Deputy Chief Executive of the Wise Group.
