He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Glasgow, is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Currently a columnist for The Herald on all things recruitment and people related, Simone has also been recognised with numerous awards for her involvement in helping build careers across both the corporate and 3rd sectors. Simone was previously the Managing Director – Scotland for Search Consultancy and also worked in-house as Director of Resourcing for Barclays, based in Glasgow. She is also currently Chair of the Local Employer Board of Career Ready in Glasgow & the West and sits as part of their Scottish Authority Board supporting Scottish Young People into the World of Work.

Jacqui Hepburn

Jacqueline Hepburn joined NHS 24 as Director of Workforce in September 2021 and is responsible for developing effective Workforce strategies in a national organisation to meet the distinct needs of the NHS Board. As the Strategic Lead, Jacqueline is responsible for all workforce related matters, developing, shaping, driving and supporting all aspects of the NHS 24 Board and Executive Management Team Corporate Organisational Development and Workforce Strategies. Jacqueline had previously worked at ScotRail as Head of Organisational Development and became Human Resources Director before being seconded to Abellio Transport Holdings Ltd as UK Head of Organisational Effectiveness in July 2019 where she was responsible for strategy and the delivery of strategic programmes across six Operating Companies and 17,500 employees. Jacqueline has more than 20 years’ experience leading HR and learning and development teams across the UK and Europe. Prior to joining NHS 24 Jacqueline worked across the private, public and third sectors. She was a Director at Flybe, UK Director for the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils, and Deputy Chief Executive of the Wise Group.
